Along with the development of the tourism industry, aviation is increasingly developing. People travel by plane more and more, and therefore, the need to understand more interesting things related to this field is increasing. Here are some interesting things about aviation, according to the compilation of Baatraining, one of the three largest independent flight training centers in Europe.

"1919

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (Netherlands) is the oldest airline in the world. It was founded in 1919. Qantas (Australia) is the second ""oldest"" one founded after KLM Royal Dutch Airlines one year."

This is the year that the Business Class service was born. Its ""mother"" is Qantas Airlines."

Online check-in service first appearing in the world in 1999 is the ""work"" of American airline Alaska Airlines."

 

"10 tons

Lufthansa, The largest airline in Germany and Europe's second largest airline is the most ""generous"" airline which buys caviar to serve passengers the most of all. Every year, they buy 10 tons of this expensive caviar."

 

"40,000 USD

In 1987, American Airlines saved $40,000 by removing the single olive from a salad in first class."

 

"700 million USD

Is the amount that Singapore Airlines pays each year for food and 16 million USD for wine."

Before the pandemic, on average every 37 seconds will have a plane taken off or landed at Chicago O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois, USA."

Boeing 747 aircrafts have flown a total of more than 78 billion kilometers over the world, equivalent to 101,500 round trips from Earth to the moon. These planes have also carried more than 5.6 billion people, equivalent to 80% of the world's population."

Passengers only account for 10% of the weight on the plane at take-off. Fuel is what takes up the most weight."

More than 80% of the world's population is afraid of flight. Although the aviation industry is growing rapidly, according to statistics, just over 5% of the world's population has ever traveled by plane. Many people, coming from less developed areas, have never been on an airplane and do not have the opportunity for this experience in their lifetime. Besides, there is a group of passengers who make up a small number of the world's population, who are in airlines very often."

According to IATA, in the coming year, airlines in all regions of the world will record a recovery, even airlines in The North US are expected to be profitable. The business of the world aviation industry will gradually recover in 2022 after the great damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic for the past two years.
